In so many countries people continue to perish as a result of war and guerilla warfare, often too from religious persecution, all accompanied by an eerie silence from governments and public opinion. This article analyses the bloody battles which are the scourge of our planet and involve innocent civilians, old people, women and especially youngsters and children of all difference races and creeds guilty not of having done or not done, but simply of being. Massacres and atrocities which we thought could no longer happen in our modern era. The Lions Club association where followers of different creeds all work together bringing peace to the world and acting as a bridge between people in an endeavour to halt all forms of violence and terrorism.
